Man Made Style: From Dud to Stud
Anyway (as you like to say)…if cooking shows and salon take over shows can make it, so can this.
There is an audience for this – keep after it!

Way to go, Aaron. I think I’d come up with a better name for the show though. “Man Made Style” is too generic. I wish I could afford your services. Maybe one day, bro.

I would definitely watch that shit

I was not a fan of queer eye, in fact I couldn’t stand those guys at all. However, this I would watch, since this is USEFUL advice unlike that other crappy show. What a shame, keep pushing for it! You give down to earth, real, genuine fashion tips which really can’t be found too easily elsewhere.

If I did not live in England I would come to you man. The pilot was great, wasn’t so fond of the guy you picked to fix up, did a really good job though but would have advised on someone slightly younger and smaller. Must you call to find out what happens? Could you not just show what happened? The thing with your nostrils at the end was not needed. Aaron you are still simply the best at what you do though, even I thought you should be on television. Will you try again in the future? Please do!

It was a GREAT pilot! You did it on such a reasonable budget, too. That was a lot of great stuff and you even let him get a cool pair of boots, rather than all dress shoes! He looks great now and I like how you did the final score thing depending on if you get paid of not. Thanks for keeping it real and not expecting us to spend $700 on a normal outfit like they do on “What not to wear.”

they already do have that queer eye for the stiaght guy *not a gay joke*
Comment by nightloc92 — February 6, 2010 @ 9:16 pm

HAHAHA
a gay man with a straight penis!!!! lol i am sooo keeping that one haha wow
Comment by thecr3ativeone — February 7, 2010 @ 12:07 am
I liked the promo a lot, but it did remind me of What Not to Wear. Since your show would only focus on man makeovers, I would definitely watch it.

Aaron I have been subscribed to you for a while and have benefited from some of your advice. I think that instead of shopping it to B.S. networks who have there own agenda, maybe you should do an internet show and see if you can monetize it with sponsors of products and businesses that you use. Create your own buzz and following and then these networks will come calling. Your position is from a straight Man’s perspective, that is different from Queer Eye.

@BrandSelection also wat might help to push the show is to partner with a relationship expert, for instance John Alanis. Becuz most times it’s not just the wartrobe that’s in need of help but the relationships… I Doh c the need to remove the assistant though cuz her opinion will help in to a female crowd…However yall have to be almost like pollar oppsites to created some tension and last but not least another male to further push the masculinity into the show…

where is the link?
Comment by kingpindeluxe — February 7, 2010 @ 2:04 am
I do like it…. however…there was a part where u seemed bitchy, in a sense, as u where critiquing some of the random guys in the airport i beleive it was. I really like the idea of a reality show though cuz alot of guys are in need of ur help. I’d like to Agree with cjm1483 that the show needs to be more serious and ugent in nature to appeal to more young males…. Watching the promo reminded me alot of TLC’s What Not to Wear am i’m sure u don’t want ur Brand to be associated with them at all
Comment by BrandSelection — February 7, 2010 @ 2:23 am
i agree with cjm1483. lose the assistant. altho she provides some eye candy. shes irritating. and yes u need alot less comedy. the promo looks like smthing id watch to laugh at instead of to actually learn smthing. maybe u can say things like “im gna teach u how to pick shirt sizes, where to buy the best clothes at affordable prices and simple grooming techniques” also, maybe pick a more youngish looking guy. they are ur target audience.
Comment by TheCallOfTheDragon — February 7, 2010 @ 3:08 am
maybe if you could pitch the show with more drama & way less or no comedy at all. give a story thats very true & sad. show true stories about how some one was made fun of or recovering a tragic illness or engery (i can’t spell).
your client in the video was not bad but he was too common. you need to find younger & less like ”what not to wear” you can do this. you have great fashion & connections! great luck!
